On March 5, 2007,
fifteen Albany citizens met to form Pines Hills Neighbors for Peace.
The purpose of Pine
Hills Neighbors for Peace is to promote world peace, to work to mobilize
our neighbors to work for peace, to work to stop the War in Iraq and to
prevent a US war with Iran, to create visible peace events in the
greater Pine Hills area, and to involve young people in peace work.
The group also voted
to affiliate with Peace Action, the largest membership peace group in
the United States, and its local branch, Upper Hudson Peace Action.
Pine Hills Neighbors
for Peace welcomes citizens of Albany from all neighborhoods to join
them in working for peace.
