Iraq
Upper Hudson Peace Action is dedicated to ending the war in Iraq,
and returning our troops home as soon as possible. As we have seen, all of
the supposed "eminent threats" that Bush administration had attempted to fool us with,
have revealed themselves to be untrue. No weapons of mass destruction have
been found, and the alleged Iraqi connection to Al-Qaeda has proven to be
completely unfounded. Yet, the administration and our
government continue to manifest their imprudent war and occupation doctrine
in Iraq. As a result, the American and Iraqi people are paying. Due to this
war, over 3,400 American lives have been lost, and many more thousands of
innocent Iraqis have perished. This is not a price worth paying considering
the absence of any benefit, both pragmatically and morally.
